At U.S. Engineering, our strong culture is the result of our intentional actions, genuine care, and shared commitment.
Our vision is simple: “To foster a culture of integrity and respect, where everyone is valued and empowered to be their full, authentic, best selves.”
To support this vision, we created The Blueprint—a resource that defines who we are, guides how we grow, and shapes the impact we make. Just like a construction blueprint provides direction, this Blueprint keeps us accountable to build a workplace where everyone can thrive.

Culture is more than words—it’s how we work, how we support one another, and how we serve our customers and communities. It’s rooted in shared beliefs and built through daily actions that turn intention into impact. Together, we turn these ideas into a workplace where everyone belongs, contributes, and grows.
At U.S. Engineering, our culture is brought to life through the way we lead—at every level. Our Human Resources and leadership teams have developed “competencies,” which are measurable patterns of knowledge, skills, abilities, behaviors, and other characteristics that people need to perform their jobs successfully.
While our full Leadership Competency Framework includes a broad range of capabilities, we’ve intentionally elevated four core competencies that reflect the everyday behaviors most essential to shaping our culture.
These four competencies: Valuing Differences, Developing Talent, Driving Engagement, and Building Networkswere selected because they aren’t just leadership ideals. They are the visible, lived expressions of our values and the foundation of the environment we’re striving to create.
Each competency helps us foster a workplace where everyone belongs, contributes, and thrives:

We’re stronger when we embrace different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

Growth looks different for everyone. We invest in tools and opportunities that help each person progress in their own way.

A strong culture is built on connection and purpose. We do our best when we feel heard and respected.

We cultivate an environment of trust and belonging. By building strong relationships, we collaborate and succeed together.
The Blueprint has three key elements: The Foundation, The Framework, and The Experience. Together, these elements shape an environment where we feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow.
Who We Are. The Foundation connects our purpose and vision with the core principles that define our organization. It ensures that inclusivity and belonging aren’t just ideals—they’re part of our everyday actions.

How We Grow. The Framework highlights the systems and opportunities that drive high performance, strengthen leadership, and support ongoing development. It helps us grow with purpose while appreciating the perspectives that make us stronger.

The Impact We Make. Our culture isn’t limited to our offices or jobsites—it’s in every interaction, from supporting our teams to engaging with our communities and creating a sense of belonging. The Experience is where our values turn into action and impact, felt through every connection you make.

The Blueprint is our shared commitment to act with integrity, lead with purpose, and continuously build a culture where everyone can succeed. As we evolve, The Blueprint will grow with us, helping every team member feel grounded and supported.
We invite you to explore The Blueprint and join us in building a workplace where everyone belongs, contributes, and thrives.
At U.S. Engineering, we are committed to building a workplace where inclusion, respect, and opportunity are the core of our culture. We believe that when every team member feels valued and empowered to bring their full, authentic self to work, we unlock the full potential of our organization.
We know that our differences make us stronger. They fuel innovation, deepen our connections with one another, and enable us to better serve our customers and communities. That’s why we work continuously to promote fairness in hiring, training, promotions, compensation, and every aspect of the team member experience.
Together, we are creating a culture of belonging—where every voice is heard, every contribution matters, and everyone has the opportunity to grow and succeed regardless of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity), national origin, or any other protected characteristic.
